First Successful Linux Virus Reported, Jan 22, 2001

Kaspersky Lab, the Russian anti-virus specialist, has warned about a new Internet worm that attacks Linux-based computers. The worm, which executes under Red Hat Linux, is called Ramen, and represents a surprise for what had been considered to be one of the most protected platforms available today.

The new server combines the comprehensive functionality of the Domino Messaging and Web Application Server with the cost advantages and the reliability of the Linux operating system. This provides a basis for improved business processing and customer relations.
