ASPs Turn To Linux, Even Without 99.99% Availability, Jul 03, 2000

Many ASPs and other companies in the new economy are turning to Linux for their Internet infrastructure despite the fact that even Linux can't as yet deliver complete availability.

SteelEye Technology Inc., has announced immediate general availability of its LifeKeeper for Linux 3.0. LifeKeeper is a commercially proven, automated high-availability clustering solution for Linux that provides for continuous availability of business and mission critical application and data as well as 24 x 7 system uptime. LifeKeeper will be available on the Red Hat distribution of Linux.
