Tool for repairing MP3 ID3 tags?

Someone has told me that the MP3 files I have are malformed. Specifically, the ID3v2 tags are missing the pattern at the beginning of the field which indicates the "endian"-ness of the Unicode characters in the field.

Does anyone know if there's a Linux app or tool that will fix this kind of problem, without me manually having to play around with each file? (There are something like 70 files, each with 5 or more ID3v2 fields, so I'd really like this to not be manual.)

Easy Tag is Easy

If you're using linux, go with Easytag. (I can't post links yet, but search your package manager).

Highlight multiple files, right-click in the field in question and choose "Apply to all files" or something similar to that.
