Application: p0f

p0f performs passive OS detection of systems you connect to, and systems connecting to or going thru or near your box, all without sending a single packet. It can also detect their network hook-up, distance, firewall, NAT, certain configuration details. P0f is useful for customer/attacker/user profiling, firewalls, honeypots, IDSes, pen-testing and other tasks, as well as just for the fun of it. P0f runs on Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, AIX, MacOS X, Solaris and Windows.
