Application: FAAST TTS

Fonix neural network technology allows accurate speech recognition in noisy environments and does not require the user to train his or her voice to the system. You can also create command-and-control applications that respond to continuous speech, enabling users to speak naturally to the device. Fonix customized ASR allows the user to modify the application in any language with his or her voice.

FAAST TTS gives your application a natural-sounding voice. FAAST uses award-winning concatenative technology to create a natural voice – one that includes inflections, intonations, pauses, and changes in pitch, speed, and emphasis. All of these factors add correct meaning and context to create synthetic, natural-sounding speech. If your application uses a specialized list of words, Fonix can generate a customized soundbank where the words have the quality of an actual recording, and become virtually indistinguishable from a human voice.

FAAST is the most efficient way to develop voice-enabled applications. Because it is a complete development kit, you can develop an application utilizing Fonix ASR and Fonix TTS and run the application on a single chip.
