| Irssi is a text-mode IRC client that features (optional) automation, tab completion for almost everything, excellent logging and ignoring and good scrollback handling. It is multi-server friendly and supports powerful scripting through the Perl programming language (over 150 scripts have been released on the Irssi website).
Irssi comes with a proxy module that makes the program act like a full-featured bouncer.
When upgrading Irssi, you don't have to disconnect: on-the-fly upgrading is supported.
Irssi is not ircII-based, so it does not share its bugs. Actually, Irssi is very secure and stable. |
