| PM2V is a library for parallel encoding of a video sequence in MPEG II. It is mainly based on mpeg2encode v1.2a made by the MPEG software simulation group, and aims to speed up the computing of MPEG video sequence by using multiple processors or multiple computers linked by a LAN. It also uses MPI so it can use SMP architectures or a network of workstations. The speed increase has been tested to be better than 400% for six processors over one. |
