Application: Grouse Grep Grouse Grep for Linux updates the original version published for DOS included in the November 1997 edition of "Dr. Dobb's Journal". It is a major port of the code to GNU/Linux, based on GCC, and is faster than GNU Grep in a number of important areas. However, the code can be exponentially slower than GNU for more complex searches.
