Application: Diogenes Diogenes comprises a set of Perl scripts designed for searching the Latin and ancient Greek texts published on CD-Rom by the Packard Humanities Institute and the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae. Components include a Perl module, a command-line script, and a CGI script that is capable of delivering Latin texts as HTML and Greek texts as images generated from LaTeX. Searches can be made using Perl regular expressions, or in the case of the TLG, via the Greek word index.
