Application: ppovit Ppovit is a small Perl program that reads 3D molecular structure coordinates in Protein Data Bank (PDB) format and generates a scene description script that can be used as input for the Persistence Of Vision (POV) ray-tracer to create high quality images of macromolecular models. Images displaying a combination of solid bond, ball and stick, and space-filled models are possible. The user can control individual atom and bond visibility, size, and coloring, as well as the orientation and center of the model view.
