| Heart is a redundant, distributed cluster technology, providing a core function for High-Availability systems. By exchanging so-called heartbeats and keeping a distributed database updated about the status of all nodes, a cluster of nodes can fix itself, without the need for a central monitoring or administrative instance. As such, Heart provides low-level functionality for the implementation of a failover cluster, where every crash of any node is immediatly noticed and appropriate action can be taken. |
