| Condor schedules and runs remote CPU intensive applications using the idle cycles of distributively owned workstations. It monitors a pool of machines to find idle machines that are then used to complete submitted jobs, and also provides checkpointing and remote system mechanisms that allow for job migration and transparent remote execution. |
