I don't use it because this is just a gimmick. It was broken from the beginning and nothing changed.
There was a discussion about secure boot after boothole incident where it was concluded that secure boot by design never will be really secure.
Most secure Linux distro: Qubes by default is not...
Heh Linux is PITA for most Windows users too.
FreeBSD was my first OS installed in mid 90'.
Security nowadays is similar between Linux and FreeBSD but I remember times when Linux installation ended up with passwordless root while FreeBSD required password.
All is money and original BSD issues...
If the only parameter modified is vm.swappiness then not much will change. There are other VM parameters that must be adjusted if one wants to change kernel swap policy.
However I would consider ZRAM/ZSWAP as it seems that OP system does not have enough RAM. In such case VM modification is not...
There are better mail providers. That is all. Does not mean that one can't use Proton mail. Just one needs to be more careful.
If OP wants to degogle :) himself, then it sounds like anonimity is expected. Proton mail does not provide it.
Also, I would set several mail accounts with different...
Maybe
swappiness
vfs_cach_pressure
need to be adjusted.
Setting swappiness high will tell kernel to move all that is not needed to swap, freeing RAM for caching files. When you set vfs_cache_pressure low (e.g 50 but not 0), it will favor caching files instead of keeping application data in RAM...
The argument for neutral Switherland does not work well. Proton mail repeatedly gave up user information when asked. One example here:
https://restoreprivacy.com/protonmail-discloses-user-data-leading-to-arrest-in-spain/
I would start with creating a new user. If this will work (e.g. no crashes) then you are o.k. otherwise KDE reinstallation would be the next step.
Good luck
Plus over Proton Mail: no privacy issues (in contrast to Proton)
Minus: proprietary encryption works only between Tuta accounts.
There are other options e.g. countermail, maibox with good privacy record... but I alvays use VPN when connecting to my email account.
But Wayland works?
If so then something happened to your config. I would check your logs. Alien Bob will ask for your log files at least to understand the issue.
This just mean that you do not understand the difference between CPU and RAM usage or worse how computer hardware works.
When I compile program, I forceall CPUs to be fully utilized. This way program is compiled faster. At the same time I make sure that system is usable. When compilation is...
Can you explain what do you mean by
"The menu to choose the subject of Plasma X11 DE is not listed among the long list it provides."
Do you not see a menu, menu is incomplete and xfce or other DE/WM installed is missing. You can't select DE.
